Guarantee
  1. On completion of the contract and on receipt of cleared payment for the installation, Britelite will issue you with your guarantee to remedy any defective materials or workmanship becoming apparent within ten years of the date of installation. Our guarantee is supported by an independent insurance backed guarantee unless stated otherwise within these terms.
  2. You agree not to neglect, damage or misuse the products or to allow others to misuse or damage them. You agree to maintain them by regularly lubricating all moving parts such as hinges, lock mechanisms and handle cranks etc. in accordance with the timescales and methods outlined in our maintenance leaflet (which can be downloaded from our website).
  3. For a period of ten years from the date of installation Britelite guarantee to replace, repair or correct any faulty moving part or locking mechanism provided clause 9.2 has been followed. For the first twelve months of the guarantee Britelite will replace, repair or correct replacement parts without charge, after that period replacement parts will be posted free of charge or a chargeable engineers appointment can be made at your choice.
  4. For a period of ten years from the date of installation Britelite undertake to supply and install a free replacement sealed unit if any of the installed units develop condensation or collect dust between their glass panes.
  5. The presence of condensation is entirely dependent on external atmospheric conditions and environmental factors within your home. Britelite give no guarantee that the installation will eliminate, reduce or be free from condensation on the glass faces inside or outside of your property. Britelite give no guarantee that glass will be entirely free of minor imperfections as defined by the Glass and Glazing Federation specification of visual quality standards. Spontaneous shattering of glass due to nickel-sulphide inclusions is not covered by this guarantee.
  6. No guarantee is given against cracks or other damage to plasterwork, brickwork, flooring, etc resulting from subsidence due to soil shrinkage, settlement or underground waterways.
  7. Plumbing, electrics, plastering, general building works, guttering on conservatories, tiling and sealed units with internal blinds are guaranteed for a period of twelve months from the date of the installation. This guarantee is not insurance backed.
  8. If you install blinds within your conservatory then this will invalidate your guarantee due to heat retention. So no blinds of any kind should be fitted in your conservatory.
  9. Britelite confirm that products will match samples supplied by us but are unable to guarantee that colours (including white) will perfectly match across our product range.
  10. You must notify Britelite of any claim under this guarantee within 14 days of the discovery of the fault.
